I built a 20 meter dipole inverted v antenna this weekend and tried it out tonight. It worked very well. This will be my portable 20 meter 1/2 wave antenna. I love the 20 meter band. I made contacts with Texas(mobile), Kentucky(mobile), Virginia, Arizona, and Conneticut tonight. Three of the guys were talking to me at the same time. Two of them were coming in S9 and one at S7. They were amazed that I was transmitting at only 25 watts with a dipole only 9 feet off the ground. All three heard me at between S5 and S7.
